HIV heART
2 - 8 March 2017
This show is the culmination of the 2016 Art Phoenix program run by The Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (BGF)
Phoenix Art aims to provoke dialogue to support HIV+ artists creatively express themselves and preserve an artistic legacy. Each course is open to ten people living with HIV. In addition to producing artworks, the program acts as a conduit for connecting people with shared experiences, increasing socialisation and improving self-esteem.
The title of the exhibition - ‘HIV heArt’ - was selected by recent Phoenix artists to represent their love and passion for art and also to demonstrate how participating in the course helped fulfil their lives.
